It's a Hair Thing Part 1

I was captivated by hair styles in St. Kitts. The Kittitians have very thick hair. One Kittitian told us that their hair is like wool. Many of them will braid their hair in tiny cornrows and patterns, I imagine it is a lot cooler, too! (It was very warm and humid even in this their cool season). Many of the young girls will have lots of ribbons, clips, and other hair things holding the ends of their many parted and braided hair.

I have students who wear their hair like that with lots of braids and lots of clips. Although, I've never seen the flower braids! I have to admit I've always wanted to get my hair braided in cornrose, but it probably wouldn't look very good on me ;)
