Use a Cement Mixer

Several of us really enjoyed the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake on the cruise. So I googled the recipe and found several "Official" recipes. Here's a good one:

Recipe from Carnival Cruiseship Legend (August 2007)

Melting Chocolate Cake
Portions: 1000
Ingredients:
70 lb semisweet chocolate
70 lb butter
700 eggs
18 lb sugar
25 lb flour

Method:
Melt chocolate and butter. Mix half egg and sugar, add flour, add remainder egg. Mix egg mixture with chocolate mixture. Pour into ramekins. Bake 15-20 min at 200 Celcius. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Someone reviewed this recipe and suggested using a cement mixer to mix the ingredients! Can you imagine cracking 700 eggs! I'll post on the recipe blog the version for serving 10 after I try out a few of the "official recipes."

This MIGHT feed our family.

I stayed away from this decadent dessert until the last night...our waiter brought an extra, so I had to indulge. By the way, before the cruise I weighed in at 32 pounds less than last Thanksgiving...not so now! So much good food that I have to redo the last month's progress...even after working out every day on board.

That's funny. Do you have a cement mixer for the task? ...Although, Jocelyn did say that after trying Dad's "Thanksgiving Diet", she never wants to eat again. Looking forward to a mixing bowl size recipe on the chef blog.

I just read Brent's comment! That's too funny! Maybe Brent knows of a cement mixer that he can borrow.

By the way... great job, Dad, at losing so much weight! Good luck losing the cruise weight. I hope it was worth it anyway!

Sunday morning is my regular weekly weigh-in. Good news! Not sure why the scale read so high on Friday morning, but now I am down 33 pounds since Thanksgiving.
